# Workflow diagrams

> Follow the production, sales, and customer access steps at a glance.

Follow these diagrams alongside the step-by-step guides. Each diagram shows one part of preparing, selling, and supporting your device product.

## From production to delivery

```mermaid actions={false} theme={null}
flowchart TD
  A["Prepare and test the product"] --> B["Create the batch"]
  B --> C["Set up each board with the factory app"]
  C --> D{"Physical unit passes your checks?"}
  D -->|No| E["Fix the unit"]
  E --> D
  D -->|Yes| F["Prepare: mark Ready to sell"]
  F --> G["Print and attach the unit QR label"]
  G --> H["Confirm sale and payment in your sales channel"]
  H --> I["Record sale in Fleet Batches"]
  I --> J["Pack and deliver with your setup instructions"]
```

A batch creates device records. Each physical unit still needs factory setup and your product checks. Confirm payment through your own sales channel before recording the sale.

Continue with [Prepare your device product](/docs/fleet-batches/prepare), [Create and manage a batch](/docs/fleet-batches/create-batch), [Factory setup and unit checks](/docs/fleet-batches/factory-checks), and [Sell and deliver devices](/docs/fleet-batches/sell-and-deliver).

## Stock and ownership changes

```mermaid actions={false} theme={null}
flowchart TD
  A["Not for sale"] -->|Prepare| B["Ready to sell"]
  B -->|Remove from sale| A
  B -->|Record sale| C["Sold"]
  C -->|Release owner| B
  C -->|Transfer owner| C
  B -->|Mark broken| D["Broken / Retired"]
  C -->|Mark broken| D
  D -->|Return to stock| B
```

These actions update the unit record. **Sold** means an owner has been recorded. A return or transfer also needs the matching update to customer permissions in your app.

Read [Sell and deliver devices](/docs/fleet-batches/sell-and-deliver) for the buttons, buyer details, returns, and label handling.

## Customer access through your app

```mermaid actions={false} theme={null}
flowchart TD
  A["Customer signs in to your app"] --> B["Scan unit label or enter its code"]
  B --> C{"Your app allows this customer to add the unit?"}
  C -->|Yes| D["Show their unit and its permitted features"]
  C -->|No| E["Keep access blocked and offer support"]
```

You provide the customer app and its permission checks. A printed code identifies a unit; scanning it does not grant access by itself.

Read [Customer access](/docs/fleet-batches/customer-access) for the complete customer journey and the changes needed after a return or transfer.
