Webhooks send an HTTPS POST to your server when something happens in your workspace, for example an alarm is triggered. Create and test endpoints in Dashboard → Webhooks. Each endpoint has its own signing secret, shown when you create it. Endpoints must use https://.

Verify the signature

The signature is an HMAC-SHA256 of <X-Firmngin-Timestamp>.<raw request body>, keyed with your signing secret, in hex. Always check it against the raw body before trusting a request, and reject old timestamps.

Responding and retries

  • Reply with any 2xx status within a few seconds. Do slow work after replying.
  • Failed deliveries are retried with increasing delays. After several failures in a row, deliveries to that endpoint pause for a short cool-down and then resume on their own. A passing Test Connection resumes them right away.
  • The same event can arrive more than once. Use Idempotency-Key to skip duplicates.
See Alarms to read alarm rules and events on demand.
