Prepaid items collect payment before the customer uses the device or service. Choose prepaid when the price is known in advance and does not depend on the final duration or usage. Common prepaid use cases include:
  • A fixed-price water refill.
  • One washing or drying cycle.
  • A single locker rental period.
  • A fixed-duration charging package.
  • An admission, access, or activation fee.

How prepaid works

Customer selects an item

The customer opens your public page, selects a prepaid item, and chooses a quantity when multiple quantity is enabled.

Customer reviews the total

The checkout page shows the item price, quantity, and total amount before payment.

Customer pays

The customer completes payment using one of the payment channels enabled for your merchant.

Service starts

After payment and any required verification succeed, the device or service can begin.

Create a prepaid catalog item

  1. Open your merchant in the dashboard.
  2. Go to Catalog.
  3. Create a new item or edit an existing item.
  4. Set Payment Type to Prepaid.
  5. Enter the fixed Price.
  6. Choose whether customers can order multiple quantities.
  7. Complete the item details, image, category, and device assignment.
  8. Save the item and review it on the public page.
The current price field accepts amounts from IDR 10,000 to IDR 5,000,000. Your available payment channels may apply additional minimum transaction requirements.
If an item is below the minimum supported by the selected payment channels, it can appear unavailable on the public page.

Quantity

Enable Allow Multiple Quantity when one checkout may include more than one unit of the same item. For example, an item priced at IDR 15,000 with quantity 3 produces an item total of IDR 45,000. Leave the option disabled when each order must represent exactly one device activation or service session.

Verification and device readiness

Your linked-device Flow settings can require customer verification or a device readiness check.
  • PIN Verification confirms that the customer is near the device.
  • Order Prerequisites check whether the device is ready for the order.
  • Prerequisites are validated before payment using the latest entity values from the linked device.
Test the complete checkout and device behavior before making the merchant live.

Customer experience

Customers see the fixed price before they pay. When multiple quantity is available, the total updates based on the selected quantity. After successful payment and verification, the order page shows the active service state and available session controls.

When to choose prepaid

Choose prepaid when:
  • The final amount is known before use.
  • Every customer receives the same package or service allowance.
  • You want payment completed before device activation.
  • Usage readings do not need to determine the final bill.
Choose Postpaid instead when the final amount depends on actual usage, duration, a changing sensor value, or event count. Prepaid is also required for items sold from a device in Vending Mode.

Pre-launch checklist

  • The item uses Prepaid payment type.
  • The fixed price is within the supported range.
  • At least one suitable payment channel is enabled.
  • Quantity behavior matches the service.
  • The correct device is linked and available.
  • Verification and prerequisites have been tested.
  • The public item and checkout pages show the expected price.
  • The merchant is approved for live payments before accepting real transactions.
