Plans define how much of the firmngin platform your workspace can use: connected devices, monthly device messages, merchant profiles, data history, AI credits, concurrent AI tasks, and support level. The exact price and quota for your workspace are shown on the Plans page in the dashboard. This page explains the plans in simple terms.

What is charged

  • The selected paid plan is charged based on the billing cycle shown at checkout, such as monthly or yearly.
  • Custom plans may include custom pricing for extra devices, extra device messages, or special commercial limits.
  • Extra AI usage may require credits or paid terms when AI credit billing is enabled for your workspace.
  • AI Agents charge flat credits per successful request based on the selected model, not per token.
  • Payment provider or transaction fees for monetization flows are separate from the workspace subscription.

What is not charged separately

  • Creating devices, merchants, dashboards, or automations within your included plan limits.
  • Device messages while your workspace stays within the included message quota.
  • Data history while it stays within the retention included in your plan.
  • Support that is already included in your selected plan.
  • Viewing dashboards, device pages, logs, and plan usage inside the dashboard.

How limits work

When a workspace reaches a plan limit, firmngin may stop accepting more of that resource until the quota resets, the usage is reduced, or the workspace upgrades to a larger plan. Examples:
  • If the device limit is reached, add a larger plan before registering more devices.
  • If the monthly message quota is reached, device activity may be limited until the next billing period or an upgrade. If the quota is exhausted, firmngin automatically disables your merchant, and the merchant cannot receive new orders until you upgrade your plan or the quota resets.
  • If merchant capacity is reached, upgrade before creating more merchant profiles.
The dashboard is the source of truth for your active plan, current billing cycle, and available quota.

Unused quota and rollover

While a paid subscription stays active, unused quota of a billing period is carried into the next one instead of expiring at the end of the period.
  • Rollover covers device messages, AI tokens, and the monthly AI credits included in the plan.
  • On the free plan, quota starts fresh every billing period.
  • Renewing before the period ends is fine: the new period starts when the current one ends, so no paid days are lost.
If a paid subscription is not renewed, the workspace moves to the free plan at the end of the period and the unused quota of the paid period ends with it. AI credits you purchased separately stay on the account.

Choosing a plan

  • Choose Hobby for experiments and early tests.
  • Choose Maker for a small production setup.
  • Choose Pro when you need more operational room and stronger support.
  • Choose Grow Up when the workspace is scaling across more devices or business units.
  • Choose Custom when your fleet, usage, or billing terms need a tailored agreement.
